What is The OWL?

Open World Learning (OWL) emphasizes a holistic approach to education that includes personal development, cultural awareness, and sustainable living.

It is a centralized hub of knowledge, resources, and best practices in progressive education for educators, parents, students and any other stakeholder interested in the advancement of teaching and learning.

SDGs We Work With
Our focus, particularly in the spheres of sustainability, well being, experiential and project-based learning, aligns us with the following Sustainable Development Goals.

SDG 3

By integrating PSHE into curricula we at Beaconhouse create awareness on issues such as bullying, substance abuse, mental health, environmental and physical health. In doing so we target indicators 3.5 and 3.9

SDG 4

As the largest school network in the world with schools in Pakistan, MENA, Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand we aim to provide transformative education to all our stakeholders. Thus we encompass all indicators within this goal.

SDG 11

In a bid to improve our cities, we are working towards green schools. By integrating more natural elements in the school premises, we currently targeting 11.6 and 11.7

SDG 13

By integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into the curricula, and increasing students capacities to understand, mitigate and innovate ideas to alleviate climate change, we are working towards SDG 13.3

SDG 17

We recognize that none of our goals can be achieved without the support of other stakeholders and organizations. It is only through partnerships that we can have a true impact. Hence we are targeting SDGs 17.16, 17.17 and 17.19.
